This was a design and research study done to create an Electro-Acoustic Guitar that uses sustainable materials and design choices that prioritize tone and playability.
The design was brain-stormed to combine a classic old school guitar design, while also incorporating modern design touches to have an overall Resto-Mod Design Language.
The decision to make the guitar a Semi-Acoustic as it would provide a great balance between acoustic tone and electric versatility.
A Fanned Fret-Board was chosen over a standard fret-board as it would provide better sound and tone with increasing string thickness.
Carbon Fiber, Recycled Aluminum and Wood Composite were chosen as the main materials to make the guitar out of as both the materials have documented success in being used for guitar production and are sustainable materials.
